You fund from a USD Stocks Cash balance, topped up by converting crypto to USD in the app. The brokerage service is provided by Foris Capital US LLC, which introduces your account to Apex Clearing Corporation for execution, clearing, settlement, and custody.

You hold real US shares as their beneficial owner; your account is opened and held in your own name at Apex on a fully-disclosed basis. The share is held at Apex; Foris Capital US operates as the introducing broker.

Does SIPC protection reach me?

Apex is a SIPC member. If Apex fails and customer assets are missing, SIPC covers securities and cash in member customer accounts up to $500,000, including a $250,000 cash limit.

Foris Capital US introduces your account on a fully-disclosed basis and Apex carries it in your own name, so SIPC reaches you directly. Shares enrolled in Apex's opt-in fully-paid securities-lending program lose SIPC protection while on loan; collateral is held in their place. Apex carries supplemental Lloyd's excess-SIPC coverage: $150 million firmwide aggregate, with $37.5 million securities and $900,000 cash per-customer sub-limits. Crypto.com's consumer-facing help and learn pages cite only the statutory $500,000 limit.

Dividends and corporate actions

• Cash dividends: received and credited through Apex when the company distributes them.
• Tax reporting: the product is open to US persons only, so US tax reporting applies through Apex, with 1099 reporting on the account.
• Corporate actions: splits and similar are handled at the Apex custody layer.
• Dividends on loaned shares: while shares are on loan through the securities-lending program, dividends may be paid as cash in lieu with different tax treatment.

Not every equity is eligible for fractional trading. Revenue on this line includes payment for order flow shared by Apex with Foris Capital US.

Funding and exit

• Fund: from a USD Stocks Cash balance, topped up by converting crypto to USD in the app.
• Sell: at any time; proceeds are credited as USD to your Stocks Cash balance.
• Transfer in: securities from another brokerage by ACATS.
• Transfer out: by ACATS for a $100 fee. Direct registration (DRS) is not described in Crypto.com help, legal disclosures, or the Foris account agreement.
• Lend (FPSL): Apex's fully-paid securities-lending program is opt-in for eligible customers who accept the Stock Lending Disclosure Statement and Agreement. Default holdings are not lent. Once enrolled, Apex may borrow securities without per-loan approval. Shares on loan lose voting rights and may fall outside SIPC; collateral may be your only recovery if Apex fails to return the shares.
